Buying used — and how not to get burned
None of the retailers on this page sell used VanMoofs. For used, you're on Marktplaats (NL), Kleinanzeigen (DE), eBay, or Refurbed. The used market is reasonable if you take three precautions.
Before you wire money for a used VanMoof:
1. Test that the bike unlocks via the original VanMoof app with the seller's account. A bike that won't pair is often blacklisted or stolen.
2. Verify the frame number against the seller's stated history. Stolen-bike registries (NL: stopheling.nl; DE: Fahrradpass) accept frame number lookups.
3. Inspect the battery health. Older S3/X3 batteries degrade; replacement costs €450+. Ask for a recent charge cycle test.

Yes. VanMoof B.V. relaunched as Mamicro Netherlands BV (part of Lavoie / McLaren Applied) and resumed direct sales and warranty support in late 2024. New S6 bikes purchased through vanmoof.com carry the full updated warranty terms. The Ride Pro subscription is also Mamicro-administered.
When is the VanMoof S7 coming out?
As of 2026 there is no confirmed S7 launch date. Insider hints suggest a removable battery and a new built-in display, but VanMoof has not officially announced the model. Does VanMoof ship outside Europe?
Direct shipping from vanmoof.com is currently available in: Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Spain, Italy, UK, USA, and Japan. Other countries can buy via authorized retailers who arrange international shipping (often at higher cost). For Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, direct shipping is unavailable and you'd need a freight forwarder — not recommended for warranty reasons.
Do all retailers honor the VanMoof warranty?

What's the difference between S6 and S6 Open?
Same internals, different frame geometry. The S6 has a traditional top tube; the S6 Open has a step-through frame, easier to mount and dismount. Same price, same features, same battery.
