2. Data Collection
ColorFeel does not collect, store, or transmit any personal mood or weather data. All your mood tracking information, including mood entries, notes, weather snapshots, health correlations, and app settings, remain securely on your device and are never shared with external servers or third parties.
3. AI-Powered Insights (Pro Subscription)
ColorFeel offers optional AI-powered insights through a Pro subscription. This feature provides personalized analysis and recommendations based on your mood patterns.
3.1 How AI Features Work
Zero-Knowledge Architecture: We do not store AI conversations or prompts on our servers. When you use AI features:
- Only the data you explicitly choose to share is sent to AI providers
- You control what data is shared (mood entries, notes, health data, weather information)
- Data is sent directly from your device to the AI provider and back
- No conversation history is stored on ColorFeel servers
- We only track usage counts for subscription management (not content)
3.2 AI Providers
ColorFeel partners with the following AI providers:
- Anthropic (Claude) — Advanced conversational AI for mood analysis
- OpenAI (ChatGPT) — AI-powered insights and recommendations
- Google (Gemini) — Machine learning-based pattern recognition
3.3 Your AI Privacy Controls
- Explicit Consent: Before purchasing Pro, you'll see a consent screen explaining what data is shared
- Data Selection: Choose which data categories to share (mood data, notes, weather, health)
- Time Range Control: Select how much historical data to include (last 7 days, 30 days, or all time)
- Provider Policies: AI providers have their own data retention policies (typically 30 days or less)
- No Training: Your data is not used to train AI models (per provider policies)
3.4 Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) Option
For maximum privacy control, ColorFeel offers a BYOK subscription where you can use your own AI API keys:
- API keys are stored securely in your device's keychain (never on our servers)
- Direct communication between your device and AI providers
- Full control over AI provider data handling policies
- You are responsible for your own API key security and costs

4. Device Permissions
ColorFeel may request access to:
- Location — to fetch local weather data via Apple's WeatherKit (processed on-device, not stored)
- Apple Health (HealthKit) — to correlate sleep, exercise, and mindfulness data with your mood (all processed locally, never transmitted)
- Notifications — to send intelligent reminders to log your mood at optimal times
- App Tracking Transparency — to show more relevant ads (iOS 14.5+, optional)
These permissions are optional and fully under your control. You can revoke them at any time in iOS Settings.
5. Advertising
ColorFeel displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob to support free app development. You can remove ads entirely with an in-app purchase.
5.1 Information AdMob May Collect
- Device identifiers for advertising (IDFA/IDFV)
- General location (country/region) for ad targeting
- App usage patterns for ad optimization
- Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
5.2 Your Advertising Choices
- You can limit ad tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
- Purchase the premium ad-free version to completely remove all advertisements
- Ads are non-intrusive and clearly labeled
- No personal mood data is ever shared with advertisers

ColorFeel integrates with the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob — For displaying advertisements
- Google UMP — For GDPR consent management
- Apple WeatherKit — For weather data
- Apple HealthKit — For health data integration (optional)
- Anthropic Claude / OpenAI / Google Gemini — For AI-powered insights (Pro subscription)
7. Data Security
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, the security of your information depends on your device's security settings. We recommend:
- Using a strong passcode or biometric authentication (Face ID/Touch ID)
- Keeping your device's operating system up to date
- Being cautious when exporting your data via CSV
8. Data Export and Deletion
You have control over your data:
- Export (Premium): Premium users can export all mood data as a CSV file from the Settings screen
- Delete (Free): You can delete all your data permanently from the Settings screen at any time
Deleting the app from your device will also remove all locally stored data permanently.
9. Children's Privacy
ColorFeel is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app and on this page with a new effective date.
