Terms of Service

By downloading or using QuietControl (“the app”), you agree to these terms. They are intentionally short.

1. The app

QuietControl is provided by vanmoofer (“we”, “us”) for personal, non-commercial use on your iOS devices. We make no warranties regarding fitness for a particular purpose. The app is provided “as is.”

2. Subscriptions

QuietControl Premium is sold on a recurring monthly or annual basis through Apple's App Store. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel at any time in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Free trials, if offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. We do not issue manual refunds for unused subscription time — refund requests must go through Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.

3. Your data

Your subscription, screen time, sleep, activity, calendar, and focus data lives on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details. You are responsible for backing up your device. We cannot recover lost data.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer the app beyond what's permitted by applicable law, attempt to access other users' data (none is accessible), or use the app to violate any law.

5. Third-party services

The app integrates with Apple's HealthKit, EventKit, FamilyControls, StoreKit, and CloudKit frameworks. Use of these is governed by Apple's terms. Cancellation links may direct you to third-party websites; we are not responsible for those sites' content or practices.

6. Crowdsourced pricing

Prices contributed via the optional “Contribute Prices” feature are anonymous community data, shown for informational purposes only. We do not warrant their accuracy. Always verify pricing with the actual provider before making decisions.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, vanmoofer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, missed renewals, missed cancellation deadlines, or savings recommendations not realized.

8. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms as the app evolves. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or discontinue the service at any time, with or without notice, though we will give as much notice as practical for any change that affects active subscribers.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Amsterdam, unless local consumer protection law provides otherwise.
